Finca Balvanera pods – single box

Magaly del Carmen Yepes Trejos started managing Finca Balvanera after her father died in 2020. In the last four years Magaly has concentrated on learning all she can about coffee agronomy and soil management. With the support of an agronomist, Magaly mapped the farm, detailing plot size, varietals planted, and age of the trees. They created a fertilisation and renovation programme for the existing plants and a nursery to grow seedlings from which she has started to plant out to replace less productive trees. Over the last few years Magaly has made improvements to the washing station and drying patios. Magaly has brought the attention to detail and analysis skills from her previous role in finance to her new role of Cafetalera (coffee farmer).
