About

There is something magical about the pairing of chocolate and coffee- the two products and industries have so much in common, from growing conditions to flavour profiles. The Maleku bar made by Chocolarder (Falmouth) from Nahua Cacao (Costa Rica) shows notes of caramelised fruit and coffee and pairs exceptionally well with the fresh fruit flavours of its compatriot Finca Telia. As a counterbalance, we have also included Arcangel (Bolivia) to show how creamy and soft-syrup notes can complement the natural acidity in the Maleku cacao - both help to bring out the best of each other.
  • 70g Chocolarder bar - Maleku Dark (Costa Rica)
  • 100g Finca Telia – Herbazú (Costa Rica)
  • 100g Finca El Arcangel (Bolivia)
Don’t forget to select how you’d like your coffee – whole beans or ground for the brew method you use. This set is only available online and not in our shops.

Grind Guide

Cafetière

A coarse grind also suitable for cold brew. We use the word cafetière, but this can also be referred to as a French press, plunger or press pot.

Aeropress slow

Suitable for making a long, filter style coffee, often brewed for a few minutes. Similar to our paper filter setting.

Filter

This is suitable for our paper filters and ceramic or plastic cones, along with other brands such as V60, Clever dripper and Melitta.

Stovetop

This is an espresso style grind suitable for use in hob top espresso pots such as a Bialetti or Grunwerg. Sometimes referred to as a moka pot.

Aeropress fast

This is also an espresso style grind ideal for brewing a short, concentrated, espresso style coffee in an Aeropress.

Domestic espresso

A fine grind for using in your home espresso machine. Grind requirements will vary depending on brand and model, but this setting aims to work for the majority of home setups.

Whole beans

For use in your home grinder!

If you use a different method such as a syphon or Chemex, require a custom grind or need some advice, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
