We are looking for four friendly people who love hospitality to join us for December!
This role is all about looking after people, the shop and coffee. It involves all the usual shopkeeping activities such as stocking up, washing up and keeping the space looking tidy and clean, as well as supporting the permanent team to get all our customers a delicious cup or bag of coffee.
While the role is primarily service and hospitality focussed, we aim for everyone to feel like they have learnt a bit about coffee. We offer filter training and tastings with senior members of the team and the coffee buying team, plus a coffee bean allowance each week and a generous discount on everything else. This is a great opportunity to dip your toe into the world of coffee if you’ve been curious to see if it’s a career you might enjoy.
Required skills:
• A strong sense of hospitality and a desire to make people feel welcome.
• An interest in coffee.
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in!
• Keen to do a physical job that involves being on your feet and lifting and carrying stock around.
• Experience in hospitality or coffee is prioritised but not essential.
Required availability and position details:
This position requires excellent availability. We are only able consider applications from candidates who are available 4-5 days a week, all Saturdays in December and Sunday 21st December.
Shifts are 8.5 hours long and candidates must be able to commit to early starts (6.50am) and later finishes (8pm).
Start date: Between 24 November and 8 December.
Contract length: Between 3-6 weeks.
Location: Based in Covent Garden, Borough Market and/or Bermondsey.
Pay: £15 an hour plus accrued holiday pay in final pay.
