Early last year we did away with single use cups in our shops. We now offer these reusable cups as part of a reusable cup scheme. For a £5 deposit, you receive a branded Monmouth reusable cup to use as part of the no-single use scheme. This Café Bundle is a reusable scheme cup paired with a gift card of £15 or £35. Bring these with you when visiting the shops for a takeaway, some sweet treats or a bag of coffee. The cup is yours to use and keep indefinitely. When you order a coffee with us we can use your cup or take it back for cleaning and use another from our stock. If you choose to leave the scheme, return the cup to one of our shops (not online) and the deposit will be credited back to the gift card. The gift card can be used in our shops and online for any purchases including drinks and coffee beans, with the exceptions of coffee subscriptions. The cup is made for us by Ecoffee Cup –

Grind Guide

Cafetière

A coarse grind also suitable for cold brew. We use the word cafetière, but this can also be referred to as a French press, plunger or press pot.

Aeropress slow

Suitable for making a long, filter style coffee, often brewed for a few minutes. Similar to our paper filter setting.

Filter

This is suitable for our paper filters and ceramic or plastic cones, along with other brands such as V60, Clever dripper and Melitta.

Stovetop

This is an espresso style grind suitable for use in hob top espresso pots such as a Bialetti or Grunwerg. Sometimes referred to as a moka pot.

Aeropress fast

This is also an espresso style grind ideal for brewing a short, concentrated, espresso style coffee in an Aeropress.

Domestic espresso

A fine grind for using in your home espresso machine. Grind requirements will vary depending on brand and model, but this setting aims to work for the majority of home setups.
