Finca La Linda was the first farm set up as by Agricafe as part of their Fincas Los Rodríguez project. Agricafe is owned and managed by Pedro Rodríguez, his daughter Daniela Rodríguez Eulert and son Pedro Pablo Rodríguez Eulert. There are now twelve farms in the group, split between the Caranavi and Samaipata provinces. The farms have six cultivars in production: Caturra, Catuaí, Bourbon, Java, Gesha and Typica, and more than 34 varieties in the nursery for future planting and development. The Rodríguez family are forward thinking in their farming and milling development. Early on they wanted to make sure the farms were being planted and managed using best practices and have been proactive in getting help from specialist agronomists, they also had an enologist from the Argentinian wine industry helping with the wet mill and processing. Pedro, Daniela, and Pedro Junior are rejuvenating and revolutionising coffee growing in Bolivia and the work they are doing now will be important for generations to come. We had the pleasure of welcoming Pedro and Daniela to our roastery in 2024 which was a wonderful opportunity to taste their coffees and for the whole team to hear from them first-hand about their history and the work they do. Please see the August 2024 newsletter for more information and visit agricafe.com.bo to learn more about their story and their projects.

Grind Guide
Cafetière
A coarse grind also suitable for cold brew. We use the word cafetière, but this can also be referred to as a French press, plunger or press pot.
Aeropress slow
Suitable for making a long, filter style coffee, often brewed for a few minutes. Similar to our paper filter setting.
Filter
This is suitable for our paper filters and ceramic or plastic cones, along with other brands such as V60, Clever dripper and Melitta.
Stovetop
This is an espresso style grind suitable for use in hob top espresso pots such as a Bialetti or Grunwerg. Sometimes referred to as a moka pot.
Aeropress fast
This is also an espresso style grind ideal for brewing a short, concentrated, espresso style coffee in an Aeropress.
Domestic espresso
A fine grind for using in your home espresso machine. Grind requirements will vary depending on brand and model, but this setting aims to work for the majority of home setups.
Whole beans
For use in your home grinder!
