About
We found this coffee through our friends at Prisma Coffee. Eduardo Ambrosio and his team have been working with Cooperativa El Sendero (The Path Cooperative) to help improve their quality control and identify specialty coffees. The cooperative was founded in 2018, with 13 farms and has grown to 635 small-holding members since then. They group together to organise finance and agricultural assistance. The support of an agronomist has meant the farmers have learnt more about their soil type and specific requirements which has meant they have found efficiencies in fertilizers and farm resources. In 2023 the cooperative hopes to finish a new coffee warehouse which will include a tasting laboratory and from here they will have the facilities to taste and analyse their own coffees, offering more help to farmers with any quality concerns. This small lot of bourbon was selected from two farmers: Domingo Ramírez and Pablo Gázpar Vazquez.
