This lot was put together by our local exporter Cultivar in Jaén with coffee delivered to them by the following ten producers: Wilmer Cubas Vásquez, Manuel Villanueva Coronel, Ydelber Villalobos Tucto, Wilman Dayner Vásquez Villalobos, Gonzalo Pérez Guevara, Dilmer Santos Linares, Cesar Carrasco Alendria, Enma Rioja Tarrillo, Manuel Banda Saldaña and Seberiano Rioja Tarrila. Their farms average 0.5 hectares at an altitude between 1,700 – 2,000 metres above sea level. The local team at Cultivar were thrilled about the sweetness and vibrant tasting profile from each lot and we were delighted when we tasted the shipment sample. The harvest in Jaén starts from mid-June and extends until mid-October. The producers also grow different types of tubers, such as yuca and arracachas, corn, beans and fruit trees intercropped with coffee. Cattle and dairy farming are also present in a smaller scale.
